Instead of Sleeping

I decided to stay awake yesterday and take a straight out “coming of the dawn” picture from my backyard.

Dawning takes a fair bit of time and I was out for little more than an hour [5:40 – 6:45] before I could see the crown of the rising sun. It was cold and the continual raucous quacking of the ducks was the only sound impinging on the serenity of the scene. Well – perhaps a passing car from time to time…

I stayed up more than 24 hours on the preceding Friday/Saturday. Paid the penalty last night in a marathon 9 hour sleep session, which, while short for others is insansely long for me.
