Under The Weather…

U

Unfortunately it’s not just the weather that’s been behaving poorly this weekend. To those of you who’ve escaped the pressure changes in the past few days unscathed, give fervent thanks that you don’t suffer from sinus headaches. There’s a bit more to them than a general comment like “feel like s***” signifies.

Imagine…

Dull, deep pains just beneath the surface of your forehead
A feeling that you’re ‘stuffed up’ with no way to relieve the pressure
Pain than increases and decreases in intensity depending on your orientation
A feeling of nausea
General discomfiture

And you’ll get a glimpse of the realities of sinus headaches.

I AM NOT A DOCTOR, SO THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPNION ONLY

I’ve had numerous recommendations for “Tylenol Cold & Sinus” as an effective treatment for my symptoms. A vastly cheaper alternative (being as I’m short of le money) is to take a single extra strength Tylenol and a Sudafed. Tylenol Cold & Sinus contains 500mg of acetaminophen and 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. Turns out that pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is the active ingredient in Sudafed and it packs double the dosage.

Down go those pills…
