I Miss

I

   I miss
      the
mountains
the unpackt spaces
crossed        by night-long drives

Asphalt
       ribbons
empty turnouts
engine ticking in
cold night air

Desert roads with silent taillights
Twinkling cities
miles

away

I miss
the quiet; quiet waters -
and time

with space for thoughts and mind
             expand

Here no honking cars or seizured lights
fluorescent trains and sleptless nights
No constant movement
somewhere else to be

.

I miss the quiet
quiet waters
the beach the wind -
and transparent me.
